dublin studios photography

It has been a while since my last post and I have a valid reason for it. I have been really busy. I have spent quite a few years of my life in the corporate world. Most recently with Microsoft, previously with AT&T. So, here is an update by me. This summer I decided it was time to move on when an opportunity to buy a photography studio in Dublin opened up. And with that I have made the move from the financially stable corporate world back over to the starving artist world. Where I can now try to revive that shriveled soul I had to give up for so many years in the corporate environment.

The reason for the lack of updates was that Microsoft wasn’t going to let me go that easy. For anyone who has worked two jobs knows it can be exhausting. On one hand, I had my new company to get going, which involved a lot of focus and energy. On the other hand, I had my old role with an understaffed, overworked engineering team. Mix a couple vacations into that such as Cuba and a trip to Krakow, Poland. Oh, and not to forget, I moved apartments. If you read my post a few years ago about apartment hunting in Dublin, or if you have lived or currently live in Dublin, you know what a miserable experience it is to find a pace to live here.

But, all that is done now. I’m now focused on my creative endeavors such as running D Studios Photography, writing my next book after “An Expats Guide to Ireland“, and when opportunity provides to travel and see more of this fantastic world.
